With Great Power and Glory

In Mark 13, Jesus tells the disciples that the temple will be destroyed, not one stone left on another. The disciples naturally ask when and how will they know. The remainder of the chapter consists of Jesus' instruction regarding not only the destruction of the temple but also the return of the Son of Man. In light of these truths, we seek to discover what sort of people ought we to be.

Today's lesson covers Mark 11 and 12. Jesus will enter Jerusalem amid the cheers and excitement of the crowd. Upon entering, He has some important lessons to teach His disciples as He prepares for the culmination of this important Passover week.

He Taught Them

In our lesson on Mark 10, we discuss Jesus' teaching on divorce, the call of the disciple to leave all, and the nature of true leadership as expressed by serving others in humility and love.
